Dan Jones
Dan established his company Techknowledgey Ltd. In 2012 to provide IT support to small and medium sized businesses.
“Almost all companies these days are entirely reliant on their computer systems,” says Dan. “When they go wrong the impact can be catastrophic, with work stacking up and communication with their customers disrupted.”
Dan’s pro-active business approach is based on prevention rather than cure. “With IT the secret is to spot faults before they happen,” he says. “We monitor our clients’ systems for hardware failure and correct any problems before they become an issue. In that way, we help protect their business continuity.”
In addition to this core support, Dan also provides a full range of other support services: “Techknowledgey offers everything from simple virus removals and hardware repairs to online backup and email services, as well as regular maintenance of desktop, laptop, server, tablet and smartphones, including Apple and Android devices.”
Techknowledgey now supports clients ranging from one-man bands to multi-million organisations. And, in a world shrunk by technology, their market is remarkably wide. “Our client base is mainly South Manchester – Altrincham, Sale, Bramhall, Hale, Wilmslow and Trafford Park,” says Dan. “But we also deal with clients across the globe. We’ve provided support to customers in Scotland, Wales, France and even as far away as Abu-Dhabi.
Dan on efficiency…
A major client of ours, a local estate agent, informed us they were opening a new office and instructed us to take care of the IT side of this operation. We were able to acquire the equipment, install the new server, cabling and broadband and supply and install the required desktop computers and printers. This enabled the business owners to get on with the formalities of opening a new office, knowing that the IT would be delivered on time and in budget – this is what we do!
